The aim of this practice is to compile a corpus and to analyse the features of popular scientific discourse. The present paper focuses on the analysis of popular scientific articles collected from www.nature.com online magazine, October – December period. There are 74 collected articles. The total number of word tokens is 50 319 and the total number of word types is 8215. This analysis will also consider the 20 most frequently occurred words. One of these words will then be chosen to examine the clusters that can be found in the gathered articles.
