Ištrauka

This essay reveals how Dorothy Wordsworth (1771-1855) combines romantic and unromantic topics in The Grasmere Journals entries such as household duties or love and nature. The essay shows Dorothy Wordsworth as an English diarist who describes her daily life in the Lake District. To unfold romantic and unromantic topics using several entries from her journals, the essay firstly analyses household duties, especially related to food, which belong to one of unromantic images. Then there are described romantic topics such as love to the brother, nature and images of nature as a Dorothy’s inner state.
