Job Crafting Intervention
Ištrauka
New approach of organizational and work psychology is Job crafting. According to this approach, individual is actively involved in the job redesign process and can ,,craft” his job in his own way. By definition, job crafting is how employee reframes their work in ways that foster engagement, satisfaction and quality of work-life (Berg, Wrzesniewski, Dutton, 2010). Job crafting helps to make meaningful and positive changes for employee, because he is doing it by himself. According to individual values, strengths and passions job could be change by using three types of crafting. First one is to change tasks and ways how to do them. Second type is to change relationships including them more or less. The last type is cognitive crafting, when changes are not physical but perceptional.
In this essay, I would like to show job crafting technique in a practical way. I will present two interviews with two employed people and interventions, which they applied in their works. I will discuss the results and the influence of job crafting for each person.
