Super high-speed rail transport in the world, prospects in Lithuania

Past, present and future – three bridges connecting different times and marking the most important events of our lives. Speaking about the present it is important to remember past events and coherent, right apprehension of the present is necessary for future prospective. Geographical position of Lithuania decided Lithuania’s past, present and future among other countries of the world. This fact is confirmed by 150 year history of Lithuanian rail, precisely repeating historical, economical and political events of Lithuania of XIX-XX century. Wars, revolutions coordinated the development of our country with quite strong requirements of countries from East and West and the width of Lithuanian rail expanded according to the requirements of Russia and Western Europe. In the horizon of the past transport was considered as one of the subsidiary aspects of national economy activities, however, nowadays it is one of the main development and expansion indicators. In the present establishment of new enterprises belongs to the means of transport of that territory giving favourable communication opportunities. Thus, economy activities and enterprises of different countries can increase their industrial capacity in corresponding territory, if there is a good development of transport system that settle economic and technological factors in the future perspective.
